Illustration Friday: Song

I finally am back again, publishing on my blog. I stopped smoking two weeks ago. Started for the fifth time in my life, one and a half years ago, right after the second head tumor operation of my wife. She died thirteen months ago. The stopping action caused me to be really headless for the last week. Climbing back again.
By the way, the song that is sang here is a duet.

Illustration Friday: Chair 4

I saw a chairman as one of the Entries of Illustration Friday. The ultimate Chairman was chairman Mao, ofcourse. Illustrator/Draughtsman Gerald Scarfe sculpted him into a chair. I adore Gerald's ways.

My Archives: The Anne Frank House

click picture to play or enlarge
From 1980 t0 1984 I shared two different workspaces on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam with Graphic Designer Martijn Luns. He, amongst others, made the exposition and brochure designs for the Anne Frank House. I was asked to make a exploded view of the house. It had to be printed on a leaflet and a on a big metal plate at the entrance. On the above detail You see the entrance to the administrative building, the flag of Amsterdam and the bike of Martijn Luns leaning against the stairs. Here you will find a big image of the whole leaflet. It's not used anymore at the moment.
