Illustration Friday: Flavor

click picture to play or enlarge
Flavor? Must be strawberries, I guess. Most flavoured strawberries are picked from the wild.
Sometimes you can buy them on a local market somewhere in France. Never miss that. It's a rare sensation. It's, like we say in Holland, as if an angel pisses on your tongue.

Pleasant, cosy month - The game

click picture to play or enlarge
This is the game. The second game I had to make in a span of one month. The latter one was a race between a meateater and a greeneater (lion vs giraffe). This one is much more cosy, pleasant and enjoyable. like this month.

Goodbye Jolanda

click picture to play or enlarge
I made this one special for Jolanda van Iersel. I worked with her a couple of years, 6 or 5, together with a serious nature illustrator, for a magazine that accompanies a schooltelevisionprogram about biology/science. Jolanda was the graphic designer. I thought she was a pain in the ass in the beginning. On the way we found eachother. During our cooperation I have made three different characters for use in the magazine, which always included a onestroke comic. Those characters are doing there trick in honor of Jolanda and wave her goodbye. I printed it on 30x40 cm and framed it for her. It looks beautiful on that size. I'll be proud and happy to give it to her this afternoon.

We had a lot of fun, which shows on the other pictures I took.

Like I used to be

click picture to play or enlarge
My daughter LĂ©one, 16 years, has to do a schoolproject in which she investigates the technical advances in our lifetime, by interviewing her grandfather and her father, me. She illustrates it with some photo's. My parents did send her some photo's. Above three were among them. It's me. When I still had my head. Ranging from 15 to 20 years of age.
