I've been on the Flickr "Faces in Places" group since 8 Octobre 2007 and I never suspected than that I would be now the second largest contributor. I've started to see faces everywhere. Last week came across some webpage where it said that it's a specific brainthing. Some people are not able to see faces in things where others are able. Have forgotten what it really is about. That's one of my "brainthings" at the moment. One of the reasons of my extensive facessearch is to cling on in order to pass the time, that I have to spend waiting for the right doctor to help me cure my B12-problem. A doctor which understands that the defficient/disfunction not only can occur, passing from the stomach/intestants to the blood, but also from the blood to the tissue and therefor can not be meassured by testing the blood on B12. (My doctor suggest it's from a alternative source this information. The B12 foundation does not give any information from alternative sources.) Probably I found this doctor and I will see him next week. Found him thanks to the B12 foundation and forum. A lot of things do not get in my awareness, rememberance, thoughts etc. Beside the nerve damaging, since last week for the firs time I feel a slight loss of feel/sensation in my fingers, this is truly the worst effect. It causes you to feel isolated because you cannot tell anyone how frustrating bad it is, not in the least because you can not grasp it a lot of the times either and you are so confused that you doubt it a lot of time yourself. And for me the isolation was already a fact for a longer period because of my parasiteinfection, my Apneu and the mourning and recoveryperiod I finally greatfully went through after starting to sleep with my sleeping mask (gave me apparently more air/room to experience it), the last six months. And you need a lot of space for yourself to undergo these things and are left with little energy for anything else or too distracting. After the mourning period I clearly feel ready to go on with my life, in that part of my brain. But the sickness gives me too darn little ability to do so, probably would suck the life out of a healthy social person, who works outdoors as well.
Oh well, photographing "Faces in Places" sometimes I saw a almost Face, which needed little adding to make it a face and thus I created the "Arrange-A-Face"-group, which up till now has 6 members and is up till now mainly depending on my contributions. I hope for more enthousiastic contributions and totally different views and also a surprising and or unexpected development in my own arranging of faces.

"Iceskater" is the translation for the insect that glides over the watersurface like we only can when ice skating. In Dutch there is no "ice" invovlved in the word "Schaatsenrijder"(literally it would be "Skaterider").
A buried plastic cement tub is used as a small pond in my garden. Total span about 80 cm. But it's full of frogs. From my sleeping room I've seen as much as 6 in one time. Last week it was good weather and I liked to lunch and rest a little in the garden. If I was quiet enough, the frogs gave a concert.

A tick is called a "teek" in Dutch and is pronounced the same as "Take". "That" is "Dat", almost sounds the same. That's why I wrote "Teek Dat" on the T-shirt, because on this drawing schoolkids have to point out the most likely places where ticks like to land.

Faces in Places: Climbing Frog

This frog is a clamp normally used on climbing walls. I photographed it on a very small ramp, part of a kids climbing installation. Ramp no more than 1,5 à 2 meter.

I found this sketch I made for my blog, to tell you of my motorride and how it must have looked, to collect a Christmastree. I lost it in the chaos of my rooms, where stuff keeps lying around because of my lack of energy and my feeling sick. Now I know for almost certainty what is the matter and just need to stay put to get it proved and get the doctor to help me and believe me, I'm slowly seeing the mess I'm in and starting bit by bit to clear it, and this came up. It's a late Christmas this year.

I ordered the "The Art of William Steig" on the internet as a gift to myself on my birthday. had been planning to buy it for a long time. I was a little too late to actually receiving it on my birthday. But I got it on tuesday.

I forgot to publish this one earlier. These are the three ladies I work together with on the kid's page for the farmer's magazine. They think of the subjects and write the texts. Ones in six weeks I go to Doetinchem to meet them together with the designer and we taik about the next six weeks. Most of the times we end each subject with ready ideas, sometimes it's left open a bit. What is desired, possible and satisfies us enough to have confidence in the result. Works fine that way. The right lady is fairly new added to the group and her talking and voice, to me, show a strong ressemblance with Drs. P., a, in holland WorldWideFamous, poet/writer/performer/songwriter with a real touch of fun.

Who's that man in front of the ivy. It is "I", I feebly sit in front of what we call in Dutch > "Climb Up". I sure want to climb up from down under where I was. I did a lot of things to achieve that the last year and I achieved a lot.
"BUT..." My recent uprise with my fysical complaints, lead me to google about it and I suspect and are convinced to have a B12-deficiency. Which can be caused by having had parasites. I had 3 different sickening Parasites in 2006. B12 in the for the body needed form only comes from animal-food. Only a veganist has too little B12 in his diet to possibly cause a shortage, a vegetarian will normally have enough B12 supplied to his system.
B12 is used in creating/renewing bloodcells and a shortage can/will cause damaging to the nervesystem. Defintive damage in the long run.
I pointed the possibility already a year ago to the doctor, but she said it did not show in the blood. Now I know I does not have to be so and will not leave any stone unturned to be helped. This might lead to getting injections for the rest of my life, every month. But If I could get a bit of life quality back, this would be great.
Lack of concentration and memory problems are some of the symptons. That's one of the reasons I do not always find the energy, mood and stamina to publish here every day and period's of blanks appear here. I'm ready to fight for regaining joy for life.

On saturday I have been tortured by an Iraqi. Sounds heavy and was heavy but not as heavy as it sounds. I visit, when my hair is really long and my forehead feels really often irritated by the fluffy hairs hanging there, an Iraqi barber. The former Iraqi barber has moved to Sweden to live with her family. The new barber is an Iraqi too and he is a speedmaster with the scissors, learned the job in the shop of his father since he was eight. Zoof-zoof he flies around my head and he does a good job and serves very strong tea. When he finished, he told me he could end having to cut my earhairs every week. He could wax my ears if I want to. I'm not very good resistant to pain, but immediately agreed, because it really started to grow really fast.
It was terrible but I like my bald ears.

It's Sinterklaas days again in Holland. He arrived by steamboat last Saturday. And he went right to the kitchen to create some food for the children's page I work for. He did that as a favor to me, because I behave so good all the time.

What does a marten eat? If it is not obvious (to the kids who get the magazine) after reading the editorial text, they will find in my drawing that only one (food)item is for the liking of the marten. Never mind the fact that a lightbulb with mustard sounds delicious.
If I was Marten, I would walk beside the given paths and at least take the lightbulb as well and go home after a delicious meal, screw the bulb into my bedsidelamp and read a book till my eyelids feel heavy and I slide into the nightly adventures.

Bob than and Bob now. Something must have happened/changed in between. Something happened/changed in my appreciation for Bob and his music. Did not like it in the past, even got worse when infatuated girls kept showing their lovesickness and desire for Bob by repeatingly playing his songs on a guitar and singing them trying to sound full of feeling/passion but only able to be overenthousiastic.
Anyway, I really like his songs now. Very much.
And I like his TTRH-shows too. Bob presents a radioshow on XM Satellite Radio , called the "Theme Time Radio Hour". He's doing that for the second year now and plays all kind of old music (folk, blues, pop and more) all gathered on a theme. Like for instance baseball, coffee or Mama.
I'm regulary listening to his shows of last year. You can find an archive of them here (50 themes and 52 hours).

Candy floss/Cotton candy is "Suikerspin" in dutch. Literally translated, "Sugarspider".
In reality the dutch "spin" is coming from rotating with speed/spinning and making thread of wool or cotton. And not the spider, which is also named "spin" in dutch. Ofcourse because a spider also spins his thread.
And way back in the 1950's-60's when ladies's build up towers of hair with hairspray, we called that "Suikerspin". As a kid I was most impressed with Cotton Candy ladies, with stiletto heels.
